Immerse yourselves at the Home of Rieslingfreak where we will take through a tasting of current release and selected back vintage Rieslingfreak, also looking at some of the great Riesling producers from around the world. Then as all good winemakers do after a serious tasting, join us for lunch at fermentAsian taking bottles selected from our personal cellar, sharing a few more stories whilst enjoying Tuoi’s Chef’s menu and become a Super Freak.

Come and join us, whilst we take you on a journey of Rieslingfreak, and submerge you in all things Riesling. Lead Me To Your Door will take you through the current vintage Rieslings, together with the opportunity of looking at a back vintage or two, whilst enjoying a tasting plate of selected local produce.

The Vertical Freak Experience gives you the opportunity to better explore the evolution of a specific wine over time as well as better understand the effect of growing conditions and see the consistency in the wine from vintage to vintage.

Join us for a tasting of the current release Rieslingfreak Collection then follow on with a vertical tasting looking at 5-6 vintages of your favourite Rieslingfreak whilst enjoying a locally sourced tasting plate.

All you have to do is choose your favourite Rieslingfreak from the following Rieslings;

  • Rieslingfreak No.2 Polish Hill River
  • Rieslingfreak No.3 Clare Valley
  • Rieslingfreak No.4 Eden Valley
  • Rieslingfreak No.5 Clare Valley Off-Dry
  • Rieslingfreak No.8 Polish Hill River Schatzkammer

Our cellar contains back vintages going back to when we started up in 2009.  This experience allows you to dive into our museum stock, tasting array of verticals. We will guide you through the vintages, highlighting how each year has its own unique differences.

An opportunity for a ‘up close and personal’ with John Hughes (AKA The Freak).

Starting with a current release tasting of Rieslingfreak at our Tasting Room in Tanunda followed by a Barossan Long Lunch at one of John’s favourite haunts.  You get to choose from one of John’s favourite Restaurants from the Barossa. Is it Vintners Bar & Grill, fermentAsian, Char Barossa or Otherness? John brings the Rieslings selected from his cellar and the afternoon is created.

Come and meet The Freak, The Freakette and The Other Guy at the home of Rieslingfreak. Enjoy a current release tasting followed by a Barossan Long Lunch. Explore the regions that we source our fruit and the different styles that we create. After the tasting, join us for a Porchetta on the spit, a few back vintages, whilst diving deeper into our wine making philosophy.
